Ivar was so helpful to me before, during and after my pilgrimage on the Camino Frances last year. Before my journey his web forum and videos helped me plan and calmed my nerves. During my camino, I would check the forum for updates and even used it to recover my dropped money belt. (Pilgrims are the BEST) I also had need to ship an item ahead to Casa Ivar mid-journey for safe keeping. And at the end of my journey, when I picked up my box, Ivar offered great advice on how to spend my time in his beutiful city. I'm so grateful for him- his services and calm demeanor helped me achieve a long-time dream.

Very usefull site to find out all the ways to go on the caminos and enjoy the experience. Great advice from pilgrims who have walked the different caminos. Very useful questions from past, present and future pilgrims. Great work from Ivar who set up the site!

I ordered one of the guidebooks and it arrived in a water damaged state. I emailed Ivar to advise him of the situation. He quickly responded, apologized, and offered to send a replacement. I didn’t see his reply until about 3-4 months later. I had returned to the USA, so I responded that if the offer still stood, I would be happy to have another guide shipped to my daughters address in Madrid, and he did so right away. I am highly impressed with Ivar’s commitment to customer service, and will not hesitate to order from him again in the future.

I shipped my bag from Porto to Santiago. I was given clear instructions, I was provided with a tracking number and the pick up was in a central location close to the cathedral. It was really handy having my bag picked up from my accomodation, and the holding time was really generous meaning I didn’t have to rush on the Camino. I’d really recommend this service!

The Casa Ivar Forum and Ivar’s video updates were very valuable to my planning process. I had to postpone our Camino from 2020 to 2022 and the frequent video updates were a source of hope. I am happy to have completed the Camino Frances in June of 2022. I frequently review the forum to maintain my connection to the Camino and as I Plan for the Camino Portuguese.
